Butcher Block Finishes

Butcher Block will be installed or picked up in raw condition. It is the customer’s responsibility and selection to oil, seal, or stain the wood to their liking.

Redding Countertop will sand all butcher block countertops down to a smooth to the touch texture with the finished edge of your selection. The customer then gets full authority and creativity to finish their material to their specifications.

The bottom of the butcher block will be oiled by Redding Countertop to prevent warping, moisture exposure, and for a proper sealant. Redding Countertop can also apply the first layer of oil on your countertops for an additional fee as well as come re-sand the countertops in the future if they have been previously installed by us.
